Samsung has updated its budget lineup with the introduction of the Galaxy A04s. This is the latest to launch in Kenya and is available for Ksh 19,999 for the 64GB variant and Ksh 22,999 for the 128GB variant. I am not sure why anyone would opt for the 64GB option as that storage space is not enough and will be filled up very fast.

The GalaxyA04s is powered by the Exynos 850 processor. This is the same processor the company used on the Galaxy A13 that has been in Kenya for quite sometime and is available at around the same price. This processor is paired with4GB of RAM and either 64 or 128GB of storage. You can expand this to up to 1TB using a microSD card. This phone supports  Samsung’s RAM Plus feature which can be used to add another 4GB virtual RAM using the phone’s storage.

Besides the processor, the Samsung Galaxy A04s has a 6.5 inch HD+ infinity-V display with 90Hz refresh rate. The phone also supports  Dolby Atmos for improved audio experience.

For the cameras, the Galaxy A04s has a triple rear setup made up of a 50MP primary sensor, 2MP depth sensor and a 2MP macro lens. For selfies, there is a 5MP front facing camera.

The Galaxy A04s also has a 5,000mAh battery with 15W charging support.

    Samsung Galaxy A04s competition

At this price, the Galaxy A04s faces some stiff competition from other devices already available on the market. These include the Infinix Note 12i, Redmi 10C, Tecno Spark 9T and even the Samsung Galaxy
