Call forwarding is a function that allows you to divert calls from or to your smartphone. It comes in handy in a variety of scenarios. For all leading Telco providers in Kenya, it is pretty simple to activate or Block this feature. This article explains all that you need to Know

Call forwarding is beneficial in many situations, especially for professionals who utilize it to send professional calls to their line so they don’t miss an important phone call. In a nutshell, it allows you to guarantee that your correspondence does not go to voicemail if your line is ever busy, if you cannot take the call promptly, or if your phone runs out of power or fails to pick up the network.

As we’ll see, setting up the call transfer is relatively straightforward; all you have to do is utilize critical combinations on your phone, which vary depending on the desired settings, ranging from permanent call forwarding (unconditional) to solely on non-answer or inaccessibility.

Airtel Kenya, Safaricom, and Telkom allow you to handle call forwarding from your phone by dialing key sequences that we’ll go through below. How do you go about it:

Use the key combination *21* followed by the number you wish to transfer the calls, then the symbol # to divert all incoming calls from your phone to another number. For example, if your mobile number is ABCD, this is how you will do it. Dial *21*ABCD#  on your smartphone to use the function.

You can also dial #21# to use the Android shortcut to control call forwarding to turn off call forwarding. You may check the status of call forwarding by calling *#21#, cancel a call forwarding by dialing ##21#, and cancel all call forwarding by dialing ##0002# for systematic call forwarding.

Dial **67* *11 # to initiate call forwarding on busy. Enter ##004# to check the status of referrals, and *#67# to cancel any conditional call referrals. To cancel all referral calls, the code to dial is still ##002#.
