WhatsApp has been testing message reactions with a small group of users for a few weeks. This feature allows users to react to messages with emojis and not type the exact words. Through it, there is an option to react to a message and give the recipient some feedback and not have an abrupt silent ending to the conversation.

Having tested this feature for some weeks now, WhatsApp is ready to roll it out to more users. The feature will be rolling out to both the beta and stable builds on WhatsApp so keep an eye for the update.

At the moment, WhatsApp supports these 6 emoji reactions  “?❤️????”. To react with an emoji, just tap and hold the message and choose your preferred emoji. Message reactions are available for both private and group messages.

    Increased file limits

Besides the reaction emojis, WhatsApp is also increasing the limit size of files you can share on its platform. The company is raising this from 100MB to 2GB. This can come in handy if you normally share larger files on a regular basis and were forced to use other options previously. 100MB was just too small and even though I do not share 2GB files often, having that option is always a plus.
