The 2021/2022 KCPE results were released not so long ago. The 2021/2022 KCPE exams were done in three days and saw over 1.2 million students sit for them. This is a slight improvement from the 1.1 million students that sat for the KCPE exams in 2020.

With the results announced, the next step for the candidates who sat for the exams is to check their Form 1 selection status.

The Ministry of Education has revealed that this year, over 38,797 pupils will get slots in the 103 National schools we have in the country. 214,960 pupils will get slots in extra county schools, 258,456 in county schools, 726,311 in Sub-county schools and 2,045 in special needs schools.

Education CS Magoha has announced that candidates and parents can now check their Form 1 selection status through the Ministry of Education website or through SMS.

Here is how to check your 2021/2022 Form 1 Selection status via SMS.

    • Open the messages app on your phone.
    • Key in your KCPE index number
    • Send to 22263

Each SMS costs Ksh 25 and you can use any network to do so.

Those selected for Form 1 slots will be required to report to their respective schools on Tuesday, May 3, 2022.
