The OPPO A55 was recently unveiled in Kenya together with the OPPO A16K. This is one of the latest in the A series to launch in Kenya. The phone is available in stores starting from Ksh 24,000. This is slightly higher than the A16K but it is still cheaper than the A95 which was also launched in Kenya recently.

The OPPO A55 is the successor to the A54 that was launched in Kenya last year. This phone is meant to fill the gap left behind by Huawei. Huawei has not been active in the smartphone space and it looks like OPPO is hoping to fill that gap.

Even with the launch of the A55, OPPO has not heavily marketed this phone as I had expected. There has not been any major launch within this range and would have hoped OPPO does that. I am not sure what the company has planned but only time will tell.

Have a look at the OPPO A55 specifications below.
