Huawei is expanding its nova series in Kenya with the launch of the Huawei nova Y60 smartphone. The company has announced the availability of this phone in Kenya today starting from Ksh 23,000. You can get the phone from Amaya or from smartphone retailers across the country.

The Huawei nova Y60 has been on pre-order in Kenya for about a week and it is finally in stores for those interested in it. The phone is a merger between the Huawei nova series and the Huawei Y series that has been doing well in Kenya.

The Huawei nova Y60 is powered by the MediaTek Helio P35 processor that has been paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage space. It comes with a 6.6-inch display with a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels.

Speaking of the new phone, Huawei Mobile Kenya country Head Jim Zjuie said, “We delighted to introduce another mid-range device in the market as we look forward to the festive season where we get to gift our loved ones and HUAWEI nova Y60 is one of the best gifts that you can give someone. We have also put in an early Christmas gift whereby for every purchase you get a Free Gift pack. HUAWEI nova Y60 leverages Huawei’s mature smartphone technology and ecosystem to deliver a better mobile experience. The smartphone enables smooth communication and interaction through MeeTime, Multi-Window, Knuckle Gesture  and many other smart features. The AppGallery is also available to offer wide-ranging high-quality apps.”

The phone comes with a triple-camera setup at the back made up of a 13MP primary camera, 5MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2MP depth sensor. For selfies, it comes with an 8MP lens.

Powering the nova Y60 is EMUI 11.01 that is based on Android 10. You still do not get Google services on this phone so be aware before you purchase one. A 5,000 mAh battery provides all the juice and this supports 10W charging.
