Infinix Note 10 Pro vs Galaxy A32

If you are on the market looking for a smartphone for around Ksh 26,000, you may have come across a number of devices with two of them being the Samsung Galaxy A32 and the Infinix Note 10 Pro. Both these are recent releases in the Kenyan market with the A32 having been around for much longer.

The Samsung Galaxy A32 was unveiled in Kenya a few months back and you can get it on sites like Jumia from Ksh 26,000. This is one of the latest Galaxy A series devices and is part of a trio of devices with the A52 and A72 being the other ones.

The Infinix Note 10 Pro on the other hand was unveiled in Kenya a few weeks back and Jumia has it listed for Ksh 26,000. This is the most expensive smartphone by the company that you can get in Kenya at the moment and is part of a duo series with the other one being the standard Infinix Note 10.

Given the fact that these two are competitors, I thought we should compare them just to show you what you get from each to help you decide which one you should go with. Before we get to the comparison though, let us highlight some of their key specifications.

Design and Build

Starting with the design, you do notice that the two phones are very different. The Samsung Galaxy A32 has a boxy design and build with a clean camera arrangement at the back. The A32 is slightly smaller than the Infinix Note 10 Pro. It is easy to hold and use with one hand and to be honest it is the perfect size for me. The Note 10 pro feels a bit bulky and not fun to carry around.

The Infinix Note 10 Pro has a pretty common smartphone design compared to the A32 that looks different and definitely stands out. If you fancy being different, the A32 is the right choice. With the Infinix Note 10 Pro, you can confuse it from the many different smartphones we have on the market.

Display

This is another aspect where the differences between the two devices comes to light. The Infinix Note 10 Pro comes with a 6.95-inch display with a resolution of 1080×2460. This Is an IPS LCD display that has a 90Hz refresh rate. With this refresh rate, you get smooth scrolling which is always a plus and it translates to a better experience.

In addition to that, you get 180Hz touch sampling rate. Touch Sampling Rate is the number of times a screen can sense a user touch input per second. With this, expect higher response from the display when you touch it and this can be useful is many different settings but is especially helpful when gaming. You want your phone to register your touches all the times.

The Samsung Galaxy A32 on the other hand has a 6.43-inch display with a resolution of 1080×2400. This is a Super AMOLED display. This display also has 90Hz refresh rate for smooth scrolling.

Galaxy A32

Comparing the two, the Super AMOLED display is what I prefer as it offers deeper blacks which is something we all appreciate. I prefer AMOLED displays over any other smartphone display and that is why the A32 will be my choice here.

Performance

The Infinix Note 10 Pro is powered by the MediaTek Helio G95 processor that is paired with 8GB of RAM for the variant available for Ksh 26,000. This processor promises a better gaming experience and overall better performance. That is exactly what it delivers and you get superior performance that should handle your day to day tasks with ease.

Infinix Note 10 Pro kenya

The Samsung Galaxy A32 on the other hand is powered by the MediaTek Helio G80 processor that for the variant available for Ksh 26,000 is paired with 6GB of RAM.

There is no huge performance difference between the two but there are slight improvements on the G95 compared to the G80. If you need the extra power boost provided by the Helio G95 for gaming, then the Note 10 Pro might be the choice for you.

The Infinix Note 10 Pro also has slightly bigger RAM which might be useful when multitasking.

Cameras

The two phones have the same camera configuration at the back. These include a 64MP+8MP+5MP+5MP camera configuration. For selfies, the Samsung Galaxy A32 has a 20MP camera with the Infinix Note 10 Pro having a 16MP camera.

Both devices take good shots but the colour accuracy provided by the Galaxy A32 is just better. Samsung has always done a pretty good job at this, no gimmicks but rather clean shots that you will always love. The Note 10 Pro also takes good shots and I was particularly impressed with its night mode. It does a good job at taking clearer shots even when the lighting is not so good.

Battery

Both the Infinix Note 10 Pro and Samsung Galaxy A32 come with 5,000 mAh batteries that should give you enough power to last an entire day. You will get to use both phones throughout your work day and still have enough power left at the end of the day.

The key difference with the two is that the Infinix Note 10 Pro supports 33W fast charging while the Galaxy A32 only supports 15W fast charging. 33W fast charging is better as you can top up the battery much faster compared to 15W fast charging. With that said, I do prefer the Note 10 Pro for this.

Verdict

Both these phones are pretty good with the Infinix Note 10 Pro being the best one from Infinix yet. Comparing the two, I am inclined to choose the Galaxy A32 as it offers slightly better design, display and cameras. The Infinix Note 10 Pro on the other hand offers slightly better processor and performance and battery fast charging. If these appeal to you, you may have no problems choosing this phone. Either way, you will not go wrong with either phone.
