The Infinix Hot 10T is the latest in the Hot 10 series to launch in Kenya. This phone is currently available in stores for ksh 15,500. This is right around where previous Infinix Hot devices have been available for. The Infinix Hot 10T is the fourth addition to the Hot 10 series with the others being the Infinix Hot 10, Hot 10 Lite and the Hot 10 Play. The most recent one before the Hot 10T to be launched in Kenya is the Infinix Hot 10 Play that I Used recently.

With the Infinix Hot 10T, I was expecting better things and that is what I got. The phone is slightly upgraded when compared to the Hot 10 Play and feels quite reasonable priced when compared with other phones within its price range.

Before we get to the full review, let us look at what we get in the box.

    • Wall Adapter for charging

    Display: 90Hz Refresh Rate

The Infinix Hot 10T is the first smartphone from the company to feature a display with a 90Hz refresh rate. This is a 6.82-inch display which is quite big. 90Hz refresh rate is not the highest we have seen recently but for a phone within this price range, it is quite a good addition.

With the 90Hz refresh rate, the Hot 10T will be perfect for gamers as the smooth refresh rate allows for better gameplay experiences. With this, games such as PUBG or Asphalt 9 will be pleasant to play. I played these titles and the experience was good, for a phone around Ksh 15,000, this is quite a good deal.

    Cameras

The Infinix Hot 10T is not the company’s flagship camera phone but still comes with some good cameras that can make it really stand out.

The phone has a Triple camera setup at the back made up of a 48MP main sensor. The shots you get with the back camera are quite good and Night mode or as Infinix calls it ‘Night scape’ is amazing. With this mode, you can take some decently lit shots even when the lighting is not so good. It even works in the dark and can help you get good phots that you will have no trouble sharing to your friends on social media.

The selfie camera is equally as good. This is an 8MP camera that will not disappoint you if you are looking for one that takes detailed shots with good colour reproduction.

    Hardware and Performance

The Infinix Hot 10T is powered by the Helio G70 processor from MediaTek. This is quite an upgrade from the Helio G35 processor we had on the Hot 10 Play. The G70 handles day to day tasks with ease and is even good when gaming. I did play a few games on it and did not have any issues with this phone.

Paired with this processor is 4GB of RAM and either 64 or 128GB of internal storage space. For the OS, the phone comes with Android 11 out of the box with XOS 7.6 on top.

    Battery

The Infinix Hot 10T has a 5,000 mAh battery which is a decent size for most people. During my review period, I found this battery to be enough to last an entire day and I was never afraid it was going to run out before the day was over.

With this battery and considering the fact that the phone is not power hungry, expect at least 6 hours of screen on time and even more depending on how you use your phone.
