Innovative features have headlined Xiaomi’s Mi Mix line since its inception. The last phone in the series was the Mi Mix Alpha, launched in late 2019, but it didn’t make it to the consumer market due to manufacturing issues.

If you recall, the Mi Mix Alpha boasted a wrap-around display, offering an impressive 180.6% screen-to-body ratio, a crazy-high number.

It sported the high-end chip from Qualcomm at the time, the Snapdragon 855 Plus, with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of faster UFS 3.0 at the time, and 40W fast charging technology, among the leading speeds at the time.

The last Mi Mix device is the Mi Mix 3 5G because it made it to the public, early 2019.

After the long hiatus, two years precisely, Xiaomi’s Mi Mix series is making a comeback. In an image posted on Weibo, Xiaomi will reveal its latest Mi Mix phone on March 29.

Details are limited as of now. It’s not clear whether we should expect to see a new fully-developed phone or just a limited look at some futuristic device, or worse, prototype. Like the previous Mi Mix phones before, the new device is anticipated to pack some cool, innovative tricks.
