Samsung makes a lot of phones, each with a different focus. The company has been able to do it perfectly without confusing the end consumer – or so I hope. However, in addition to the wide portfolio, Samsung has announced a new smartphone series: the Galaxy F series.

The F-series will be available in India at first. Phones under the Galaxy F brand will target the mid-range market and reports suggest the Galaxy F series will focus on cameras.

Samsung has already announced the first device under the series known as the Galaxy F41. It’s a mid-range phone that packs enough 6000mAh battery juice with support for 15W fast charging technology. The included charging brick can take the phone from 0-100% in about 2 hours and 40 minutes, Samsung says.

Samsung Galaxy F-1 features a 6.4-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with 420 nits peak brightness. It ships with four cameras; a 64MP primary, 8MP ultrawide, 5MP depth and a single 32MP front camera.

The F41 is powered by Samsung’s Exynos 9611 processor with 6GB of RAM and 64GB or 128GB of internal storage onboard and runs on Android 10 with OneUI atop.

With the addition of the F-series, here’s all the smartphone and tablet series under the Samsung brand:

    • Galaxy Note
    • Galaxy S
    • Galaxy A
    • Galaxy M
    • Galaxy Z
    • Galaxy Tab
    • Galaxy XCover

Samsung has not specified whether it might eventually roll out the F series to the rest of the world for now. But let’s give it some time and see how things will pan out in eventually.
