OPPO has today launched yet another smartphone in Kenya. This new smartphone is the OPPO A52 that is currently available on Jumia for Ksh 24,999. At this price the phone competes directly with the recently launched Huawei Y8p and we will see who emerges victorious.

Those who buy the OPPO A52 from Jumia will get the new OPPO W11 earphones for Ksh 3,000, down from Ksh 4,999. This offer is available during the Jumia anniversary sale that is ending on July 5th.

OPPO Kenya Communication and Projects Manager Muthoni Wachira said the introduction of the new device, coming shortly after the launch of the A92 demonstrates the firm’s commitment to cater to different market segments. “The A52 still packs the powerful settings in both hardware and software that has come to be associated with OPPO smartphones in this market, even as we remain cognisant of the tough economic situations our country faces due to the Covid-19 pandemic. We hope that these devices give creatives and young people, in general, an opportunity to create and capture important moments even as they cope with the current circumstances.”

OPPO has been very active in the country this year with the launch of new devices back to back. The company is working hard to increase its market share and capture those who don’t just want the best in smartphone photography but those who want the latest hardware and specs too.

Below is a look at some of the key specifications of the OPPO A52.

With the launch of the OPPO A52, the company has also introduced the new W11 earphones into the market. These join the OPPO Enco W31 earphones that were launched with the unveiling of the OPPO A92. I am working on a review of the Enco W31 that will be up next week but so far they have impressed me.

Back to the new OPPO W11, the company promises 20 hours of battery life, powerful bass, as well as IP55 dustproof and waterproof features. OPPO aims to leverage the headphones to establish a presence in younger user groups that closely pay attention to new technologies, follow burgeoning trends, and focus on product performance and experience.
