Tecno is planning to launch its latest smartphone in Kenya in the coming weeks. This new smartphone is the Tecno Camon 15 that takes over from the Camon 12 that I reviewed last year. The Camon 15 will be available in three variants, the Camon 15 premier, Camon 15 and Camon 15 air.

Just like all other Camon devices, the Tecno Camon 15 is a camera centric smartphone. The phone will be coming to Kenya early next month, on April 10. Its retail price is still unknown but we will have that information in the coming weeks. Check out the video below.

The Tecno Camon 15 will be the first smartphone from the company to launch in the country in 2020. It is also the company’s first smartphone with a pop-up selfie camera. With this camera, expect no notch and very thin bezels on the display.

Even though the retail price of the Camon 15 is still unknown, you can pre-order the phone in Kenya right now. Those who wish to do so will be required to pay Ksh 2,000 as a deposit and add the rest when the phone is finally unveiled. In the end, those who pre-order the Camon 15 in Kenya will pay Ksh 2,000 less when picking up the phone.

Once the payment has been made the customer will receive a shopping voucher (Tuskys voucher) worth ksh.1000 within 12 hours or almost immediately.

At the moment, you can pre-order the Tecno Camon 15 through offline stores only. There is no option to do so online. There are a number of stores to pre-order the phone through. Most of these are Tecno branded retail stores that you can walk in and ask for more information on how to pre-order.

I will hopefully be getting a review unit soon and share my experiences with the phone when that happens.

Below are some of the key specifications of the Tecno Camon 15.

Display: 6.55-inch IPS LCD display with 720 x 1600 pixels resolution
    Processor:  MediaTek Helio P35
    RAM: 4GB
Storage: 64 GB internal storage, expdandable
Cameras: 64MP quad rear camera, 16 MP front-facing camera
    SIM: dual SIM

    Android:  Android 10.0; HIOS 6.0
