The Hot 8 Lite is one of the two smartphones Infinix has announced for the Kenyan market. These are the successors to the Infinix Hot 7 that was ok but not great. The Hot series is the company’s entry-level series made up of affordable devices, mostly under Ksh 10,000. The Hot 8 is the latest one to make its way to Kenya.

With the Infinix Hot 8 Lite in Kenya, the company is targeting those who are looking for a feature-packed smartphone at an affordable price. The Hot 8 Lite shares a lot with the Hot 8 with some key differences being the processors and the Lite variant being 3G enabled while the non-Lite variant supporting 4G. I am not a fan of 3G smartphones in this day and age considering the fact that we have seen even cheaper devices supporting 4G. Check out the Infinix Hot 8 unboxing video below.

The Hot 8 Lite is available in the country for Ksh 9,999 through Infinix branded shops. This is a competitive price segment and Infinix wants to dominate it with the Hot 8 Lite. I will hopefully be reviewing this phone very soon and will share my experience with it if that happens.

From the specifications above, does this look like a smartphone you would want to get?

I think these specifications are quite good for its price. We have not seen so much activity from other manufacturers within this price recently and Infinix has an advantage in that regard. If this advantage will turn into success is something we will have to wait and see. Most of its devices in this series have ended up selling so well and we may see the same success this time round.
