The Nokia 7.2 is one of the latest smartphones from HMD Global to be launched in Kenya. This phone was announced not so long ago at IFA 2019. Also announced at the event was the Nokia 6.2, Nokia 2720 Flip, Nokia 800 Tough and the Nokia 110.

The Nokia 7.2 is the successor to the Nokia 7.1 from last year. You can say it is a mid-range device as in Kenya it is available for Ksh 34,000. This is not a bad price but within this range, there are so many options to choose from and HMD Global has an uphill task if it is to get people to buy this phone.

The Nokia 7.2 has a 6.3-inch display, the same size as the Nokia 6.2. It is powered by the Snapdragon 660 processor (Octa-Core) paired with the Adreno 512 GPU. Performance is not the key selling point for this phone, that title is reserved for the camera. We have known Nokia phones to have decent cameras but HMD Global hopes to take things further with the Nokia 7.2. This phone has a triple camera system at the back made up of a 48MP main snapper, an 8MP ultrawide sensor and a 5MP depth sensor. For the selfies, we have a 20MP shooter.
