Yesterday, Samsung officially unveiled the Galaxy Note 10 series made up of the Galaxy Note 10 and the Galaxy Note 10+.

With the two variants, you are getting two different sizes with the standard Note 10 having a 6.3 inch display while the Note 10+ having a 6.8 inch display. The display on the Note 10+ is a Dynamic AMOLED one with a resolution of 1440p+. The smaller Note 10 on the other hand has the same Dynamic AMLED panel with a 1080p+ resolution.

Both the displays on the Note 10 and Note 10+ support HDR10+, a must for a flagship smartphone in 2019. Samsung also says these phones support Dynamic Tone Mapping for better image quality regardless of the content. These are just some of the features that differentiate established brands like Samsung who focus more on the user experience.

Since these are Note devices, the S Pen is sticking around and comes with new features to make it useful. The new S Pen has a gyroscope and an accelerometer and can be used as a motion controller. You can use it to navigate the UI for now but as developers build around it, it should be used on a number of different apps.

For the cameras, the Galaxy Note 10 devices have a triple camera setup made up of two 12MP sensors and a 16MP sensor. The first 12MP sensor is the main sensor and has optical image stabilization while the second is a 12MP telephoto sensor and the 16MP sensor is the ultra wide-angle sensor.

For the selfie camera, we do have a 10MP sensor on both the Note 10 and Note 10+. The selfie camera is centered on the front of the display unlike the S10 series. There is no notch so we get a punch hole on both devices.

We are still not sure about the availability of these devices but Samsung Kenya has said that the price will start at Ksh. 103,999. The company wasn’t clear about this but this will probably be the price of the base model Galaxy Note 10 in Kenya. I will update you will more information when I get it, in the meantime, you can check out the specifications of the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+ below.
