The Huawei P30 Lite is one of the best smartphones you can get in Kenya for less than Ksh 30,000. I have had this phone for a few months now and have been using it ever since. It does outshine its competitors with its premium design and build quality and amazing cameras.

When the Huawei P30 Lite was launched in Kenya, it was available for Ksh 30,000. This was a reasonable price and still is considering what the phone has to offer. Most people I have shown the phone to thought it costs more than it actually does.

If you have been eyeing the Huawei P30 Lite, you may want to know that it has been discounted on Jumia and is now available for Ksh 23,500. Earlier in the day, there was one available for around Ksh 22,000 but I cannot find it anymore. Maybe it was sold out or the price was adjusted upwards. Either way, Ksh 23,500 is a good price for this phone and I would grab it if I did not have the phone already.

The discounted price kicks into effect today as the Jumia anniversary sale kick off. I am not sure if the price will be adjusted upwards after the sale period. This is a very good price and I would not be surprised if it changes in the next couple of weeks.

Below are some of the key specifications of the Huawei P30 Lite.

Display: 6.15-inch IPS LCD display with 1080 x 2312 pixels resolution
    Processor: Octa-core Hisilicon Kirin 710
    GPU: Mali-G51 MP4
    RAM: 4 GB
Storage: 128GB internal storage, expandable via microSD card up to 512GB
    Cameras: Triple: 24MP + 8MP + 2mMP rear camera, 32 MP front-facing camera
    SIM: dual SIM
    Battery: 3,340mAh battery
Android: Android 9 Pie; EMUI 9
    Size: 152.9 x 72.7 x 7.4 mm, 159 grams

    Huawei Y9 Prime 2019

Besides the Huawei P30 Lite, there is also the Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 that has gone on sale in Kenya today. This is the latest from Huawei and is available for Ksh 25,000. This is also a good price for the phone whose key selling point is its pop-up selfie camera.
