You Will Soon Be Able to Share WhatsApp Stories Directly to Facebook

Para que quiere Facebook a WhatsApp

WhatsApp plans to add new features to its messaging app and one of them has to do with its integration with Facebook. For those still in the dark, Facebook bought WhatsApp for $19 billion and this sort of integration was expected at some point.

According to WABetaInfo, the integration WhatsApp is working on will let users share their WhatsApp Stories to Facebook. Users will find an “add to Facebook Story” option in their WhatsApp Status tab. This button will not be available for everyone but rather for those who have the Facebook app installed. This will be the case in the beginning but things may change down the line.

I have never thought I needed an option to share my WhatsApp Status on Facebook but it looks like Facebook thinks otherwise. The dynamics of this integration are still unknown and with the recent privacy scandals Facebook has been facing, those who have not added their phone numbers on Facebook will still want to know if they need to do this if they want to share their WhatsApp Stories on the social networking giant. If this is the case, then it will scare some people from using this feature.

Besides the WhatsApp Stories and Facebook integration, WABetaInfo has also spotted a QR code functionality for users who want to share their contacts. This feature is available in most other social networking sites and on WhatsApp it will be available under the profile section. You can share your QR core with people who will then scan the code with the WhatsApp camera.

There will also be an option to revoke your QR code if you do not want it to work anymore. This will stop people from adding you using the code but will not affect those who already have your number.
