Lava, an Indian phone manufacturer, has officially entered the Kenya market. The phone manufacturer officially introduced its affordable smartphone line to the country yesterday saying that this is part of its aggressive business expansion in international markets. Besides Kenya, the company will also expand to Nigeria, Ghana and Sudan.
Some of the company’s phone are already available in Kenya through offline retail stores and online through Jumia. These are bound to shake the entry level market segment that is currently dominated by the Transsion Group. For the consumers, the more players there are, the better it is as prices will definitely come down while still getting the best features. In the end, you are guaranteed the best value for your money.
In Kenya, we will be getting the Laval Champion, Lava Iris and Lava Z series. These are different categories from feature phones to smartphones.
Lava Champion
The Lava Champion is the company feature phone line-up. You may be wondering why have a feature phone in 2019 but the truth is this is a very huge market as not everyone is able or willing to buy a smartphone. Under the Champion series, we have the following devices.
