The Nokia 8 Sirocco Is Getting Android Pie Update

Ever since it brought the new Android Powered Nokia smartphones, HMD Global was clear that these phones would get timely Android updates when they are available. The company said that these phones would be among the first ones to get the latest updates and even though this has not been the case all the time, the company has supported the existing Nokia smartphones better than most other smartphone manufacturers.

Android 9.0 Pie Update for the Nokia 8 Sirocco brings with it all the key Pie updates that Google announced last year. Some of these include gesture navigation, slices, app actions, adaptive battery and adaptive screen brightness level to help with better battery life.

With Android Pie, Google leaned towards machine learning to predict what users are about to do and which apps they will use next to improve efficiency. Some of the changes it brings are subtle and you have to interact with them in order to appreciate them. If you have the Nokia 8 Sirocco, you should be getting this update as it is rolling out to users worldwide, be patient as it might take time to get to all users.
