After weeks of waiting, Huawei’s latest mid-range smartphone, the Y9 2019, is now available in retail stores in Kenya. The phone is available for Ksh 24,990 through online and offline stores. Online, you can get the phone through Jumia and offline you can get it from your local smartphone shop and Telkom brand shops countrywide.

The official unveiling and mall activation of the Huawei Y9 2019 in Kenya was at the Two Rivers Mall yesterday in a star-studded event.

The Huawei Y9 2019 joins the Y5 Prime 2018 and Y7 Prime 2018 smartphones from the company launched earlier this year. With these devices, the company wants to cement its presence in the country as the go-to smartphone brand for the younger generation.

The Huawei Y9 2019 comes with the company’s latest Kirin 710 processor that is paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage space. I have been using the Huawei Y9 2019 and have to say that its performance is not disappointing and its battery is just amazing. I am still reviewing the phone and will have the full review in a couple of weeks so come back for that.
