    Samsung has made it clear that it will not only be focusing on its premium devices. A few weeks after unveiling the Galaxy S9 and S9+ in Kenya, the company is back with a new smartphone. This latest smartphone is the Samsung Galaxy A8+ is available in Kenya for Ksh 60,000. This smartphone is targeting a different customer base from those who will go with the Galaxy Note series or the Galaxy S series.

    The Samsung Galaxy A8+ introduces the infinity display to devices other than the flagship Galaxy phones. This display is one of the things that set the premium devices from Samsung apart. The company wants that to trickle down to some of its other devices as a way to differentiate its devices from all the others on the market.

    The Samsung Galaxy A8+ is the company’s first smartphone with Dual Front Camera with Live Focus for clear selfies and for better portrait shots. “The Galaxy A8+ exemplifies our continued dedication to meeting the needs of our consumers by providing them with greater choice and convenience,” the company said in a statement.

    The two cameras at the front consists of a 16MP one and an 8MP one with F1.9 aperture. The main camera at the back is a 16MP one with F1.7 aperture. The Dual Front Camera is made up of two separate cameras so you can switch between the two to take the type of selfie you want, from close-ups with a blurred background to portrait shots with a clear and crisp background. And with the advanced Live Focus feature, you can easily blur the background before or after you take the picture to create high-quality images.

    The new device also allows you to customize your photos with fun options, from adding stickers to your selfie or highlighting a culinary extravaganza with Food Mode. The phone also comes with video digital image stabilization (VDIS) technology to stabilize your shaky videos.
