Tecno is planning to launch its next flagship smartphone, the Tecno Phantom 8, on October 22. The company is already teasing the device that it will be launching in Dubai. This is not the first smartphone that the company is launching in Dubai, its current flagships, the Phantom 6 and Phantom 6 Plus were also launched in Dubai last year.

Tecno isn’t revealing much about the phone, the company is being cryptic with statements such as, “with its glass like texture and the shine only true of a diamond, TECNO’s new Phantom is a thing of pure beauty.” This doesn’t give us much to work with but we can predict that the phone will come with a new shiny metal frame.

Tecno says that it has developed the new design with extreme precision to give it a truly unique look. It is hard to say what the company means by this but it has shared a teaser image of the phone as you can see below.

For me, this new design looks good. I did not like the design of the Phantom 6 and anything that is better than that is good enough for me. I particularly like the direction Tecno is taking with the Phantom 8, it is its flagship device and it should look the part.

Besides the design, the Tecno Phantom 8 is also expected to have a better camera, actually, make that two cameras. From the photo shared by the company on its social media pages, the Phantom 8 comes with two cameras at the back and an ‘advanced front facing camera’ which the company says is supported with dual selfie flash to take better selfies when the lighting isn’t so good. I will have to put this to the test to decided how advanced the camera really is.

What I have shared above is what we know about the Phantom 8 so far, at least what Tecno has confirmed. Additionally, we have heard that the phone will comes with a 5.5 Full HD display, it will be powered by a MediaTek processor paired with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage space. For the battery it will come with a 3500 mAh unit.

Keep it here to be updated on the Tecno Phantom 8 as we get more information.
