Snapchat is currently the go to application for the youth. The app is one of the most popular ones right now across all the major mobile platforms. Snapchat is known for its disappearing videos and photos that users can share with their friends.

Snapchat is making some changes to its app and one of these is seeing the introduction of group chats. The feature allows you to have a conversation with up to 16 people, not that big of a group as we have seen on other social sites.

Users will be able to create these ‘Groups’ when they are sending a new snap. It is easy to use and works exactly like any one-on-one conversation you can have on Snapchat. Users will only be able to open and reply to snaps only once, it is good to see Snapchat isn’t changing its core functionality to make room for this.

As expected, the snaps and chats sent to the group disappear after 24 hours even if you haven’t opened them. This means that you will have to log in to your account often if you do not want to miss any group conversations your friends may be having.

You will be able to chat individually with any of the members in the group chat. All you have to do is tap on their name at the bottom of the screen. You will still be able to go back to the group chat when in this conversation with just one swipe.
