Huawei is set to launch the Mate 9 in a couple of days but this has not stopped the latest leaks of the phone that have surfaced online. These are the first actual images of this phablet as most of the ones we saw before are renders and prototypes that didn’t clearly show us what the phone was about.

These first images of the Huawei Mate 9 surfaced online a few hours ago and they show both the front (check out the photo at the top) and back of the phablet. The Mate 9 leaked here is the standard version with a flat display, we also expect to see a version with a curved display when Huawei unveils this device.

The leaked image is exactly what we have heard of the Mate 9 including the metallic back cover, the big 5.9-inch display, a fingerprint scanner on the back and a dual camera setup at the back with a 20MP and 12MP sensor combination. At the back is also where you will find the dual-LED flash.

The 5.9-inch display on the standard Mate 9 is expected to have a 1080p resolution while the Pro version (the one with a curved display) is expected to have a QHD resolution. Both versions are expected to be powered with the Kirin 960 processor with either 4GB or 6GB of RAM depending on the model you choose. Storage space will vary but will go as high as 256GB.

Providing all the juice to these models will be a 4000 mAh battery that hopefully will support quick charging. This has not been confirmed but given the battery’s huge size, it makes sense to have it.

Huawei will unveil this phone on November 3rd so keep it here to learn more about it when it is unveiled.
