Yesterday, Lenovo announced that the #LenovoTechWorld, the company’s strategic technology conference, comes to San Francisco on June 9, 2016. The second annual conference brings together some of the industry’s top leaders along with Lenovo chairman and CEO Yang Yuanqing for the keynote address where they’ll probe the most promising and emerging topics in innovation, including virtual reality, smart connected devices/IoT and harnessing the power of the cloud to transform people’s lives. Lenovo will be joined by fans, media, influencers, press, analysts and other guests from around the world.

Tech World 2016 will also host major product announcements; we’ll launch the world’s first consumer Project Tango-enabled smartphone in partnership with Google. Project Tango brings augmented reality to your smartphone, including gaming, navigation, and other utilities. This device gives you a totally new way to experience the world – enabling you to do things never imagined, from indoor mapping your way around a museum to creating a 3D gaming environment to visualizing how a new refrigerator fits into your kitchen.

Lenovo will also announce new mobile technology designed by Motorola that will dramatically change the way people think about and use their most personal devices – in a snap.

“Innovation is at the heart of everything we do,” said Yang Yuanqing, chairman and CEO, Lenovo. “Lenovo is no longer just a PC or Smartphone company.  Lenovo will play a role in developing new smart devices, delivering the smart connectivity required to enable new services and experiences, and providing the infrastructure that makes the new connected world possible.   At Tech World 2016, we’ll share our latest technologies, launch some of our most important products, and – along with some of our friends and partners – showcase our vision for the future of technology.”

Lenovo will also share a glimpse of some of the most interesting technology concepts from our labs around the world. These concepts represent the creativity, experimentation and imagination of hundreds of Lenovo and Motorola engineers, designers, and developers across three continents.

As part of an ongoing effort to drive our customer engagement initiative in the U.S., we’re inviting a select group of consumers to join us at Tech World this year. Participants will be asked to share on social how tech innovation has changed their lives. Three lucky winners will win a VIP Experience trip to Tech World.
