Two days ago, we told you that Samsung was pushing the Android Marshmallow update to the Galaxy S5. Apparently this was not the only update that Samsung was working on as the company has started pushing out the update to one of its 2015 flagship, the Galaxy S6 edge+.
Updating the Galaxy S6 edge+ comes a few weeks after the company introduced its 2016 flagship smartphones, the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge. These already come with Android Marshmallow straight out of the box so they do not need any updates at the moment.
The Android marshmallow update for the Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ has been reported by some users in France and India who have received notifications to update their devices. The update is 1.3GB in size so you need a reliable Wi-Fi connection if you are to update your device over the air.
You can check if the update is available for your device and choose to update it by heading to Settings >> About Device >> Download Updates manually. Then you will have to choose when you want it installed on your device.
Android Marshmallow brings with it new features to the Galaxy S6 edge+. Some of these include improved fingerprint security, improved battery performance, overall enhanced performance and UI changes.
