Microsoft Announces the Lumia 950XL with Killer Specs Including a Triple-LED Flash at the Back

We have been waiting for a premium flagship smartphone from Microsoft for a while now and the wait is finally over. Microsoft has introduced not one but two flagship smartphones that include the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950XL.

The Microsoft Lumia 950XL is the biggest of the two and represents a huge update for Microsoft as the company has not released a flagship smartphone ever since it took over Nokia’s mobile division. The Lumia 950XL comes with some killer specs that will get anyone interested in it, I know I am!

To start, the Lumia 950XL has a massive 5.7 inch Quad HD AMOLED display. It is powered by a 2.0 GHz octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage space that can be expanded using a microSD card. The phone also has some interesting features that include adaptive antenna technology, and liquid cooling technology. The adaptive antenna technology allows for better reception while the cooling technology ensures it doesn’t get too hot when you are using it.

As for the camera, the Lumia 950XL has a 20MP PureView Camera with triple-LED flash at the back and a 5MP selfie camera. Providing all the power is a 3340 mAh battery that supports Qi wireless charging and fast charging.

The Lumia 950XL will be retailing at $650 (approximately Ksh 67,000). It will be available in black and white.
