The Kirin 950 chipset has four Cortex-A72 cores that can top speeds of 2.4GHz and four Cortex-A57 cores. This chipset can handle a 42MP camera and supports LPDDR4 RAM.

The Kirin 950 chipset has already undergone a benchmark test and it has seen very positive results. It has managed to score 1909 for the single-core test and 6096 for the multi-core test. This is quite impressive and from the results, it has managed to beat Samsung’s Exynos 7420 that managed to score 1486 for the single-core test and 4970 for the multi-core test.

Keep in mind the Exynos 7420 is used on the Samsung Galaxy S6, Samsung Galaxy S6 edge, Samsung Galaxy Note5 and Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+.

Even though the Kirin 950 beats the Exynos 7420 from Samsung, Samsung is believed to be working on its next chipset that will be out by the end of 2016.
