OnePlus has finally unveiled its latest flagship, the OnePlus 2. The company has teased this device for quite some time now and has decided to finally unveil it to the world. The OnePlus 2 is an upgraded version to the company’s first smartphone that it unveiled last year. OnePlus has even gone ahead to refer to this phone as the ‘2016 flagship killer’. This shows you how much confidence the company has with its latest flagship.
Initially, OnePlus was expected to unveil its latest flagship smartphone on July 28 but the company pushed that back with a day and unveiled the OnePlus 2 on July 27 (yesterday).

The OnePlus 2 has a 5.5 inch LCD display with a 1080p resolution and a pixel density of 401 ppi. Under the hood, it has a 1.8GHz Snapdragon 810 processor (octa-core). This is the same processor that has had overheating issues and some manufacturers including Samsung have avoided it completely. We will wait and see if it causes any issues running on the OnePlus 2.
As for the RAM, the OnePlus 2 is available in 3 and 4 GB models. The 3GB RAM is available on the 16GB model and the 4GB of RAM is for the 64GB variant.
For the camera, the OnePlus 2 will have a 13MP sensor which performs quite well in the dark according to the company. As it had been revealed a while back, the phone will have a fingerprint scanner which is said to be faster that the TouchID biometric system on the iPhone.

The phone will be available as from August 11 and just like the OnePlus one, you will have to be invited if you want to purchase it. The 64GB version will cost $389 (approximately Ksh 40,000) while the 16GB model will cost $329 (approximately Ksh 34,000).
