Microsoft has been interested in bringing some of its popular apps to Android for a long time. This does not mean that Microsoft is happy with the way Google runs things on the platform. This was evident last week at Microsoft’s Ignite conference in Chicago where Microsoft’s Windows chief, Terry Myerson, did not have nice words to say about Google.
He started by attacking Google’s Android update plans by saying, “Google ships a big pile of… code, with no commitment to update your device.”
He went ahead to say, “Google takes no responsibility to update customer devices and refuses to take responsibility to update their devices, leaving end users and businesses increasingly exposed every day they use an Android device.”

With these developments, we should expect Microsoft to fix its processes as it unveils Windows 10 later this year. Myerson concluded by saying, “We’re not going to be delivering all of the updates to all consumers on one big day of the month.”
