Safaricom To Launch A Smartphone With Intel Inside

Earlier this month, Intel revealed that they plan to have more of their chips in smartphones and that they had a new Atom processor code-named Lexington targeting the emerging markets of  Africa, China, India, Latin America and Southeast Asia. According to MikeBell of Intel, Safaricom, Acer and indian-based Lava will launch Lexington based smartphones in the first quarter of 2013.

The expected launch of this device may just come sooner than expected according to the invite we have seen.

Based on the information on the invite, the event will be held on the 24th of this month at the Tribe Hotel, Village Market.  

Some of the features that the smartphone may have includethefollowing:

·         Lightning Fast Processor(1.2GHz)

·         Stunning 8MP HD Camera

·         HD Video

·         Outstanding Battery Life

Smartphones with intel inside include Motorola RAZR* I, Motorola MT788*,  Orange San Diego, Mint Smartphone from  MegaFon, Lenovo K800, Lava Xolo and  ZTE Grand X ln.
