Safaricom was the first telco to launch 5G services in Kenya. Safaricom 5G went live in Kenya back in 2022 and the company has been aggressively expanding availability across the country. Safaricom has today revealed that it has 1,114 5G sites in Kenya. These are spread across all 47 counties in 102 towns. The company says this covers 14% of the population. The East African Development Bank (EADB) has unveiled an ambitious program to bolster the growth of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Kenya.
