Samsung has announced the launch of the Galaxy A27 5G in Kenya.
The Galaxy A27 5G is the successor of the Galaxy A26 5G and comes with a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED 120Hz display. Samsung has also embraced an Infinity-O punch-hole display design with thinner bezels, giving more screen real estate in a slim 7.8mm body.
Under the hood, the device is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor. Samsung says this processor delivers better multitasking, smoother gaming and improved power efficiency. The phone also features a new 12MP front-facing camera designed to capture more natural-looking selfies across different lighting conditions.
Samsung has expanded the AI capabilities on the Galaxy A27 5G with updates to Circle to Search. It now supports searching for multiple objects in a single image. Other AI features include an enhanced Object Eraser for photo editing and Voice Transcription that can translate speech while transcribing in 22 languages.
The device also supports multiple AI assistants, including Google Gemini, Perplexity and Samsung’s Bixby, alongside deeper integration across Galaxy apps.
The Galaxy A27 5G will be available in Kenya in Black, Blue, Light Green and Light Pink through Samsung Experience Stores, Samsung Shop-in-Shop outlets and authorised retail partners.
The smartphone is priced at:
- 4GB RAM + 64GB storage – KES 41,300
- 8GB RAM + 256GB storage – KES 52,500
Samsung says the Galaxy A27 5G will receive up to six generations of Android and One UI upgrades, along with six years of security updates. The device is also protected by Samsung Knox security, comes with Samsung Care+ support and includes a 24-month warranty.
