Schneider Electric has appointed Steven Santini as Vice President of its Secure Power division for Sub-Saharan Africa.
The Secure Power division plays a critical role in supporting modern data centres, distributed IT environments and critical infrastructure by delivering technologies designed to ensure energy reliability and digital availability. The division is central to enabling what Schneider Electric describes as a foundation for “digital resilience” in an increasingly connected world.
Santini brings more than 15 years of experience across IT infrastructure, channel leadership, and strategic alliances. He returns to Africa with deep expertise in compute, storage, and software-defined solutions, having most recently worked within Schneider Electric’s UK and Ireland operations.
During his time there, Santini contributed to transforming the business from a hardware-focused model into a solutions-driven organisation. He has also been involved in shaping global strategies around enterprise data centres, prefabricated infrastructure, and sustainability-focused software solutions.
In his new role, Santini will focus on strengthening Schneider Electric’s partner ecosystem across Sub-Saharan Africa while driving a more outcome-oriented approach to delivering value to customers.
“I strongly believe we should not be selling products, we should be delivering outcomes,” Santini said.
“When we understand the full technology stack and the workloads our customers are running, the conversation shifts from racks and power distribution units to business performance, resilience and sustainability. That is where real value lies.”
Santini also emphasized the importance of trust and relationships in the African market.“Africa operates on relationships. People buy from people, and trust is everything,” he added.
“Our priority is to rebuild and strengthen our ecosystem—our partners, alliances and customers—so that we create a strong foundation for sustainable growth through 2026 and beyond.”
