Vertiv has announced the launch of the Vertiv CoolPhase Wall, a wall-mounted cooling system designed specifically for small IT environments and edge deployments across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA).
The new solution addresses a growing challenge in distributed computing: how to effectively cool compact IT spaces that were never designed for high-density equipment.
The CoolPhase Wall is mounted directly on the wall and this helps free up valuable floor space in small IT rooms.
The system is designed to deliver up to 60% greater airflow compared to standard comfort cooling solutions and this helps manage the higher heat loads generated by modern IT equipment.
“As IT continues to expand into areas that were not originally intended for high-density electronics, the demand for adaptable and energy-efficient cooling solutions is increasing across EMEA,” said Sam Bainborough, vice president, EMEA thermal business at Vertiv. “The Vertiv CoolPhase Wall is engineered to support continuous operations, enabling customers to maintain reliable, efficient thermal performance in small IT rooms and edge sites year-round.”
It also uses variable-speed compressors and fans that allow it to dynamically adjust performance based on heat demand. It is equipped with Vertiv Liebert iCOM that enables local monitoring and configuration of key parameters.
The system includes built-in connectivity that provides real-time alerts and performance updates via a secure web interface to help with remote management. This is an increasingly important feature for distributed IT environments.
