Zoho recently marked its 30th anniversary and announced it has surpassed one million paying customers globally. The company also reported that in 2025 it had strong year-on-year growth.

According to the company, it recorded 32% customer growth and 20% revenue growth year-on-year in 2025.

Unlike many global SaaS competitors backed by venture capital, Zoho has remained privately held and fully bootstrapped.

“Being bootstrapped, private, and built entirely in-house makes Zoho an outlier among competitors,” said Sridhar Vembu, Co-founder and Chief Scientist, Zoho Corporation. “Before any innovation becomes a product or policy, it must first affirm the question: ‘Will this help businesses?’”

Zoho says Africa remains a strategic growth region as digital transformation accelerates across the continent.

“Africa represents one of the most dynamic and entrepreneurial business environments in the world,” said Veerakumar Natarajan, Country Head, Zoho Kenya.

He added that demand from African businesses is increasingly driven by the need for flexible, affordable technology platforms that support long-term growth.
