TikTok has released its latest Community Guidelines Enforcement Report, which reveals that it removed more than 580,000 videos in Kenya between July and September 2025 for violating its Community Guidelines.

99.7% of the removed videos were proactively detected and taken down before users reported them. On the other hand, 94.6% were removed within 24 hours of being posted.

The platform also ended 9,000 Live sessions in Kenya for violating platform guidelines.

TikTok also removed 204,534,932 videos in Q3 2025 globally. Of that content 99.3% was removed proactively, 94.8% was taken down within 24 hours and 91% of violative content was detected and removed using automated systems

The increasing reliance on artificial intelligence tools for moderation signals the platform’s continued investment in automated enforcement technologies. According to TikTok, the integration of AI-driven detection systems with human trust and safety teams is designed to ensure both speed and consistency in enforcement.

The company says these systems help combat harmful content including misinformation, hate speech, and other violations before they gain significant traction.

TikTok also reported large-scale account enforcement globally during the quarter. The platform removed more than 118 million fake accounts and over 22 million accounts suspected to belong to users under the age of 13

For Kenya, where TikTok has become a major platform for creators, brands, and live commerce activity, the removal of over half a million videos in a single quarter illustrates both the scale of activity on the platform and the growing reliance on automated systems to police it.
