Kenyan companies are increasingly using TikTok for brand awareness as well as measurable business impact.

TikTok’s entry into the Kenyan market relied on two key partnerships. Aleph Holdings handled local sales and operations support, while Wowzi became TikTok’s official creator management partner in the country.

Over the past year, more than 200 Kenyan creators have earned over USD 350,000 (about KES 47 million) through brand collaborations enabled by these partnerships.

Several Kenyan brands stand out in TikTok’s first year of commercial results.

Branch MFB, the digital microfinance bank, used TikTok’s performance and optimisation tools to drive user acquisition at scale. By running data-led campaigns with a performance-first structure, Branch exceeded its benchmarks while keeping costs efficient.

Kilimall used TikTok’s Smart+ automation, Branded Spark Ads and full-funnel measurement. The results include over 152,000 purchases and a 6× increase in sales compared to the previous quarter

In consumer goods, Godrej Aer focused on TikTok-first storytelling and creator partnerships. Their mobile-native content pushed brand awareness and sales at the same time, generatingover 10 million video views, a 2× month-on-month sales increase and a sustained 33% market share for three months

Kenya’s TikTok success didn’t just stay local. At the TikTok Ad Awards for the METAP region (Middle East, Turkey, Africa and Pakistan), Kenyan creativity earned a Bronze award in the Community Core category.

The SKYTok community awareness campaign by SKY Girls Kenya, nominated by Tandem Network, was recognised for authentic creator and community collaboration.

According to TikTok’s Africa leadership, Kenyan brands are increasingly blending creativity with performance. The platform is positioning itself as a full-funnel growth partner rather than just a discovery channel.
