At CES 2026, Samsung unveiled its bold vision for AI-powered living with the launch of “Your Companion to AI Living” during The First Look event at the Wynn Las Vegas. The showcase highlighted Samsung’s approach to embedding AI across its devices, creating a connected ecosystem designed to make everyday life more meaningful, personalized, and convenient.

AI as the Heart of Samsung’s Experience

TM Roh, CEO and Head of Samsung’s Device eXperience (DX) Division, opened the event by framing AI not just as a feature but as a guiding philosophy. With Samsung’s vast, AI-enabled ecosystem, the company aims to provide users with an experience that goes beyond basic functionality, offering a true AI companion in daily life.

“Samsung is building a more unified, more personal experience across mobile, visual display, home appliances, and services,” Roh said. “By embedding AI across categories, we are leading the way to offer more meaningful everyday AI experiences.”

Entertainment Companion: Beyond Traditional Viewing

Samsung’s Visual Display division showcased how AI is transforming the home entertainment experience. At the center of its lineup is the 130-inch Micro RGB TV, offering unprecedented color accuracy and detail. Each microscopic red, green, and blue diode in the Micro RGB display shines independently, producing natural, vivid colors, while the Micro RGB AI Engine Pro ensures precise control for every scene.

Samsung’s Vision AI Companion (VAC) takes viewing a step further by acting as a true entertainment partner. VAC can recommend what to watch, suggest recipes based on what’s on screen, or even create personalized music playlists, connecting seamlessly with other Samsung devices like the MovingStyle portable appliance. Sports fans can enjoy AI Soccer Mode Pro, delivering stadium-like picture and sound, while AI Sound Controller Pro allows custom audio adjustments for commentary, crowd noise, or background music.

The 2026 lineup also introduces HDR10+ ADVANCED support, Eclipsa Audio, and seven years of Tizen OS upgrades, ensuring long-term improvements and innovations. Samsung also revealed new Odyssey gaming monitors, including the world-first 6K 3D Odyssey G9, designed for both gamers and content creators.

Home Companion: Smart Appliances That Simplify Daily Life

Samsung’s AI extends beyond entertainment into the home. The Family Hub refrigerator now leverages AI Vision with Google Gemini, recognizing food items more accurately and simplifying meal planning. Features like “What’s for Today?” provide recipe suggestions based on inventory, while SmartThings integration allows recipes to sync across appliances for seamless cooking.

The Bespoke AI Laundry Combo and AI AirDresser reduce chores with features like faster cycles, enhanced drying, and automatic wrinkle care. Meanwhile, the Bespoke AI Jet Bot Steam Ultra robot vacuum, powered by Qualcomm Dragonwing™, uses advanced sensors to navigate the home, detect liquids, and even monitor pets or suspicious activity.

Samsung also announced a partnership with Hartford Steam Boiler (HSB) to deliver cost savings through connected appliances, linking smart home technology to reduced insurance premiums.

Care Companion: Proactive Health and Wellness

Samsung’s vision for AI living extends into health. With Samsung Research America, the company is moving from reactive care to proactive health management. Devices can now provide personalized exercise and sleep guidance, suggest recipes based on refrigerator contents, and alert users to unusual health patterns. Integration with platforms like Xealth allows seamless sharing of health metrics with providers, supporting virtual consultations.

The company is also advancing dementia detection research through wearables that track mobility, speech, and engagement, offering early insights into cognitive changes. Security remains central, with Samsung Knox and Knox Matrix protecting user data across the entire ecosystem, even as AI models evolve.
