The itel Super 26 Ultra is the latest smartphone from the company to launch in Kenya. The phone is available in the country starting from Ksh 20,500. According to itel, this phone blends premium design, powerful performance and intelligent AI features at a price few competitors can match.

I have been using the itel Super 26 Ultra for a few days and wanted to do a quick unboxing and first impressions to help you decide if this phone is worth considering.

    First Impressions

The Itel Super 26 Ultra feels well-built when you take it out of the box for the first time. The back is made of plastic but does not feel cheap. The front display is slightly curved and this is a trend we see on most mid-range smartphones these days but not so much on itel smartphones. This gives it a premium feel that stands out from most other phones within its price range.

I also noticed that this phone is very light to hold. This is quite impressive considering it has a massive 6,000 mAh battery. Speaking of this battery, this is the perfect one for anyone who wants a phone that can easily last 2 days or more on a single charge. A 6,000 mAh battery can handle all you throw at it without any issues. This battery only supports 18W charging, which, in my opinion, is not that fast for such a huge battery.

Performance is ok so far, as this phone is still new, but I will put it through some tests to determine if it is reliable. The software experience is also good, but the phone does come with bloatware, which can ruin the experience. Itel may want to reconsider reducing the number of pre-installed apps and let users decide which ones they want when they set up the phone.

Overall, this phone is impressive so far. The build quality is good and the curved display makes it stand out. At this price, this phone is a really good deal. I will be using it for a week or so and share my full thoughts in the final review.
