    Spotify Premium Packages in Kenya (September 2025): Prices, Features and Best Deals

    Spotify is one of the most popular music streaming apps globally and in Kenya too. Kenyan users can get Spotify Premium plans that are tailored to different needs. Below is a look at the different Spotify Premium packages in Kenya from September 2025.

    Spotify Premium Individual – Ksh 370/month

    This package is designed for individual listeners. New users can get a free trial for three months (until 22 September 2025). After the trial is over, they will be required to pay Ksh 370 per month. This package offers all the Premium features including ad-free music, offline downloads, unlimited skips and you can cancel anytime. This is the perfect option if you mostly listen alone. 

    • Trial Offer: Free for the first 3 months (valid until 22 September 2025, for new users only).
    • Price after trial: Ksh 370/month.
    • Accounts included: 1 Premium account.

    Spotify Premium Student – Ksh 185/month

    Students get the best deal with the Spotify Premium Student plan. This is available for Ksh 185 per month after a one-month free trial period. It includes the same features as the Individual plan but at almost half the price. The only catch is that you need to verify you’re enrolled at an accredited university or college.

    • Trial Offer: Free for the first month (new users only).
    • Price after trial: Ksh 185/month.
    • Accounts included: 1 verified Premium account.
    • Eligibility: Students enrolled in accredited higher education institutions.

    Spotify Premium Duo – Ksh 480/month

    The Duo plan is a smarter pick if you are living with a partners. It is available for Ksh 480 per month and provides two Premium accounts under one subscription. The only requirement is for both accounts to reside at the same address. You’ll also get a unique Duo Mix playlist, which combines your music preferences into one shared playlist. 

    • Trial Offer: No free trial currently listed.
    • Price: Ksh 480/month.
    • Accounts included: 2 Premium accounts.
    • Eligibility: Both users must reside at the same address.

    Spotify Premium Family – Ksh 590/month

    For larger households, there’s the Family plan, which costs Ksh 590 per month. This supports up to six Premium accounts. Every account gets its own login, playlists, and recommendations. Parents can also block explicit content for younger listeners. The plan even includes a Family Mix playlist that combines everyone’s favorite tracks.

    • Trial Offer: No free trial currently listed.
    • Price: Ksh 590/month.
    • Accounts included: Up to 6 Premium accounts.
    • Eligibility: All members must reside at the same address.

    Why Upgrade to Spotify Premium in Kenya?

    Spotify Premium offers a slightly better listening experience compared to the free tier and even when compared to other streaming platforms. You can listen offline, stream in higher quality and enjoy your playlists without any ads. Payment can be made through debit/credit cards or mobile money services like M-PESA, which makes it convenient for users in Kenya.
