Cairo-based startup Suplyd has raised $2 million in a pre-Series A round led by 4DX Ventures, Camel Ventures, and Plus VC. Seedstars and existing investors also participated in the round.

Suplyd was founded in 2022 to help restaurants in Egypt digitize their procurement. It tackles the inefficiencies in the food service supply chain by providing restaurants with a digital dashboard to source ingredients, track deliveries, manage inventory and gain real-time analytics. The platform connects restaurants directly with suppliers and this helps remove the friction associated with offline procurement processes.

Since its $1.6 million pre-seed round, Suplyd has reported a 20x increase in scale and serves more than 5,000 restaurants across Egypt.

“Over the past four years, we’ve built Suplyd into a critical part of Egypt’s restaurant ecosystem,” said Gohar Said, Founder and CEO of Suplyd. “That progress comes with greater responsibility, and even greater ambition. What started as a bold idea is now powering thousands of restaurants every day. We didn’t just witness the industry’s digital transformation. We helped lead it. And we’re just getting started.”

The new funding will support Suplyd’s expansion across Egypt and the development of new verticals aimed at streamlining backend restaurant operations. Future updates to the platform are expected to offer deeper insights, optimize supply chains, and reduce food waste.

Suplyd’s full-stack approach is designed to meet the daily procurement needs of restaurants while improving operational visibility. The startup’s end-to-end service includes inventory management tools, delivery tracking, and access to a curated network of reliable suppliers.

Investors see the startup as well-positioned to lead digital innovation in Egypt’s food and beverage (F&B) sector.

“Suplyd’s digital procurement platform serves the long tail of restaurants that are often overlooked,” said Peter Orth, Partner at 4DX Ventures. “Their early traction, strong supplier relationships, and diversified revenue streams reinforced our conviction.”

Hasan Haider, Founder and Managing Partner at Plus VC, added, “Suplyd has become a key enabler in the digital transformation of Egypt’s F&B sector. Their strong traction over the past four years reflects the team’s deep market insight and operational excellence.”

With restaurants increasingly seeking efficiency and cost optimization, Suplyd is positioning itself as the infrastructure layer powering the next wave of Egypt’s restaurant tech ecosystem.
