Just 23 matches remain in the Premier League this season (two full Matchdays for rounds 37 and 38, as well as three catch-up fixtures from round 34) and the title, European qualification and relegation all remain undecided as we head into the final stretch.

It’s the Premier League in your pocket, on the go, wherever you are. Subscribe to Showmax today and never miss your favourite players and teams in action.

Arsenal holds a one-point lead over Manchester City at the top of the table, but the latter club has a game in hand and knows that three wins (against Fulham, Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United) will secure an unprecedented fourth successive title – but manager Pep Guardiola knows that they have no room for error.

“If we win the games, we will be champions, so the players know it, feel it, and have the experience of doing it in the past. But they have to do it again,” said the Spanish tactician.

“It’s going to be easy. No! It’s in our hands but everyone knows you cannot make one little mistake because you will lose the Premier League. They [Arsenal] know it, we know it. You see their level of consistency since the winter break, the way they are playing. It’s not the fact that they are winning, it’s the way they play. You smell that they are not going to lose in the games they have left. They are not going to.”

Arsenal’s two remaining matches are away to Manchester United and at home to Everton. Usually, a trip to Old Trafford to face the Red Devils would be seen as a major stumbling block for the Gunners, but United were battered 4-0 by Crystal Palace earlier this week and look a broken team who are likely to finish eighth, which would be their worst ever season in the Premier League era.

Tottenham Hotspur still have a slim chance of overhauling Aston Villa for fourth place (which secures the final UEFA Champions League qualification slot alongside the top three of Arsenal, City and Liverpool), while Newcastle United and Chelsea are also vying for places in the UEFA Europa League and UEFA Europa Conference League.

The Blues, after a roller coaster campaign, have hit some fine form in recent times and will be hungry to continue that in their remaining matches against Nottingham Forest, Brighton & Hove Albion and Bournemouth.

“The objective for us is to be mature and to keep the momentum and to compete, improving in every single game,” said Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino. “We are going to try to be in Europe. It’s going to be good for the team and the players to be in Europe next season.”

Down at the bottom of the log, Sheffield United have been relegated, while Burnley have all but joined them in the drop down to the EFL Championship. Either Luton Town (who face West Ham and Fulham) or Nottingham Forest (who face Chelsea and Burnley) will complete the relegated trio, with the latter club holding a three-point lead over the former.

“We can’t rely on anyone else to get us out of this. It is always down to us. I know we have enough quality, belief and togetherness to get out of this,” said Forest captain Ryan Yates.
