Infinix is finally rolling out XOS 13 based on Android 13 to a number of devices in Kenya. The company has announced that XOS 13 is over the air (OTA) to a number of its flagship smartphones from 2022. These are:

    • Infinix Zero 5G 2023
    • Infinix Zero Ultra
    • Infinix Zero 20

These are not the only phones that are getting the update though as the Infinix Note 12 and the Infinix Note 12 Pro 5G are also getting the update. These are the predecessors to the Infinix Note 30 series that I reviewed this year. The Note 30 series comes with XOS 13 out of the box.

How to Update your Infinix XOS Version

    • Go to settings
    • Click Software Update
    • Select the “ONLINE UPDATE” option
    • Click “Download”

Once download is finished, tap on the “Verify & Install” option

You will be required to restart your phone to install the updates. Proceed to do that and the update will be installed after which you will be informed if it was successful or not.

    Infinix XOS 13 roadmap

We are not sure if any other Infinix smartphone from 2022 will be getting Android 13 (XOS 13). It would be amazing to see the company roll out this update to its entry level devices. With most manufacturers neglecting this segment, ensuring they get the latest Android version will set Infinix apart from competitors.
