Infinix is set to launch yet another smartphone in the Kenyan market, The phone, the Infinix Zero 30 5G, is the successor to the Infinix Zero 20 from last year. We didn’t hear much about the Zero 20 in Kenya for unknown reasons. Things might be different with the Zero 30 5G as the company has confirmed its launch is slated for September. The exact date is still unknown and with the current issues with KRA, we just have to expect it anyday.

From the leaked photos, the Infinix Zero 30 5G looks alot like the OPPO Reno8 T 5G especially the gold variant. The phone does have a curved AMOLED display which I expect to have 120Hz refresh rate.

Still on the display, at the top there is a 50 MP front facing camera which can record 4K videos at 60 frames per second (fps). Impressive is an understatement as we do not see such selfie cameras on most mid-range smartphones on the market. There is no information about the manufacturer of this camera.

Rumors are that the MediaTek Dimensity 1100 processor is powering the Infinix Zero 30 5G. You can find this processor on devices like the POCO X3 GT but it is an old processor. I doubt we will see the phone launch with this processor as it will not be that impressive. For the RAM, we do get plenty as the phone comes with 12GB of RAM and standard. There is an option to expand that further to 21GB by adding extra 9GB of virtual RAM. 256GB of storage is the base model for this phone.

Some additional features we get include IP53 rating for dust and splash resistance. The phone also has Gorilla Glass 5 protection for both the front and back and Android 13 out of the box. We will know more about this phone in the coming weeks so follow us on Telegram, Twitter and Facebook to learn more about it when we do.
