Exness has announced the extension of its Fintech Scholarships program to Kenya. This initiative, in collaboration with the United States International University (USIU), aims to support outstanding university students pursuing studies in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) fields.

The Exness Fintech Scholarships program in Kenya is open to third and fourth-year USIU undergraduates specializing in Data Science, Analytics, and Software Engineering. Additionally, students who have accepted an offer for the MSc in Information Technology course starting in September 2023 are eligible to apply.

This scholarship will cover the full amount of tuition fees and living expenses, providing an opportunity for Kenyan students to excel in their academic pursuits. To apply, interested students should submit their applications, including a comprehensive CV, academic transcripts, and a well-crafted motivation letter to Exness by the application deadline of 28 July 2023.

The launch of the Fintech Scholarships program in Kenya underscores Exness’ unwavering commitment to supporting education in the countries where it operates. Kenya becomes the third nation to benefit from this scheme, following successful implementations in Cyprus and South Africa. Last year, two students from Cyprus received scholarships to study at the esteemed University of Cambridge, and applications for the 2023 program are now open. In South Africa, three students were granted scholarships to pursue post-graduate studies at the esteemed University of Cape Town.

Martin Thorvaldsson, Exness’ Head of Community, expressed delight at extending the Fintech Scholarships program to Kenya, stating, “At Exness, we recognize the importance of higher education for our youth’s future and are honored to be part of the journey of excellent students in building the STEM careers and future they dream of. We strongly believe that technology and innovation are key sectors for every economy, and as a fintech company, we are dedicated to supporting the minds that can contribute to their growth and development.”

The Vice-Chancellor of the United States International University Africa, Prof. Margee Ensign, also expressed excitement about the partnership with Exness, emphasizing the potential impact of the Fintech Scholarships program on Kenyan youth: “The Exness Fintech Scholarships aim to offer opportunities to young people from Kenya to achieve their full potential and aspirations in the Technology space. We strongly believe that to truly transform society, learning and education need to align with local and global challenges and opportunities. The scholarship degree programs of Data Science and Analytics, Software Engineering, and Information Security are indeed game-changers for the landscape of the 21st century.”

This expansion of the Fintech Scholarships program to Kenya marks a significant milestone in empowering STEM education and fostering the growth of aspiring tech professionals in the region. Through this partnership, Exness and USIU demonstrate their joint commitment to building a brighter future for Kenyan students and contributing to the advancement of technology and innovation in the country.
