    Dong Won Lee named new Regional Managing Director for LG Electronics in East Africa

    LG Electronics has announced the appointment of Dong Won Lee as its new Regional Managing Director for East Africa. He takes over from Sa Nyoung Kim who served as the Managing Director for three years.

    Mr. Lee has a wealth of experience in the consumer electronics industry, with over 20 years of hands-on experience in leadership, performance improvement, sales, and marketing. Prior to his appointment, he served as the Managing Director of LG Iraq where he increased sales growth by 50 percent, registering double-digit growth.

    In his new role, Mr. Lee is expected to work closely with the regional leadership team to develop and implement strategies for continued success in the market. He is tasked with pursuing sustainable growth by strengthening LG’s product lineup in East Africa, including both premium and mid-entry products for the volume zone.

    The new Managing Director expressed his excitement at his appointment, stating that he is elated to be leading LG East Africa in achieving its 2023 and beyond strategy. He emphasized his commitment to providing customer value and satisfaction, in line with LG’s Life’s Good Mission.

    LG Electronics is a global innovator in technology and consumer electronics, with a presence in almost every country and a workforce of over 75,000 people. The appointment of Dong Won Lee as the Regional Managing Director for East Africa marks a new chapter for the company as it looks to expand its operations in the region.
