The OPPO Reno 8 series is set to launch in Kenya later this month. There will be two devices in this series in Kenya, the standard OPPO Reno 8 and the OPPO Reno 8 5G. The one standout feature for me with the Reno 8 5G is its processor. It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1300 processor. This is the first smartphone I have ever used with this processor and that is why I am excited to see what it has to offer.
The Reno 8 is the successor to Reno 7 that was launched in Kenya earlier this year. There are quite a number of upgrades between the two devices but you cannot go wrong with either.
I do have the OPPO Reno 8 5G in for review and should have my thoughts on it in the coming weeks. From the few hours I have spent with the phone, I love it. It does feel like an upgrade from the Reno 7 that I have been using for many months.

Is the OPPO Reno 5G Waterproof?
No official rating is available but the phone should be OK with mild splashes.
