Infinix has officially introduced the Hot 12 series in the Kenya n market. The announcement was made at the University of Nairobi during this years’ Tech Week, an event where students are offered an opportunity to showcase their innovative ideas through projects and exhibitions they are working on.

In partnership with Infinix the winners were awarded cash prizes of up to Ksh 50,000 and brand new Hot 12 Play Series phones that were officially launched at the event.

The Infinix Hot 12 is the second major release from the company in Kenya this year. We already saw the Infinix Zero 5G launch in the country last month and you can get it in stores for Ksh 33,000.

The Infinix Hot 12 series is available in three variants:

    • HOT 12 Play 64+4 for Ksh 16,499
    • HOT 12 Play 128+4 for Ksh 18,499
    • HOT 12 128+4 for Ksh 19,999

    Infinix Hot 12 Specifications

The Infinix Hot 12 series comes with a 6.82-inch display with 90Hz refresh rate. This coupled with the 180Hz Touch sampling rate provides for a smooth scrolling and gaming experience. The phone is powered by the MediaTek Helio G85 processor that can easily handle day to day tasks and even gaming without any fuss. You can play some demanding games including PUBG with this phone without any performance issues.

Eric Zheng, Infinix Product Manager expressed: “We are continuously committed to designing  intelligent smartphones with excellent performance and trendy aesthetics for young consumers, and  we will constantly bring the latest, best and most cost-effective products to users. The Infinix HOT  12 has achieved a breakthrough in improved performance, ultra-long endurance and trendy aesthetics, which allows young people around the world to express themselves through their smartphones.

The Infinix Hot 12 has a massive 5,000 mAh battery that will easily last you an entire day. This battery supports 18W fast charging and ultra-power mode to ensure you never run out of battery. According to Infinix, with 18W fast charging, you can charge this phone to up to 50% in just 50 minutes. This is not the fastest and I would have hoped to at least have 33W fast charging support.

The Infinix HOT 12 also delivers a fantastic photographic experience for users with a clean user interface. Fully equipped with an 8MP AI front camera, 13MP AI triple rear camera, and a powerful image algorithm, HOT 12 provides an AI portrait that enhances the focus of every snapshot in the best way possible.

    Infinix Hot 12 Availability

As mentioned, the Hot 12 will be available in Kenya in three variants starting from Ksh 16,500. The phone will be available in the coming weeks.
