The Huawei nova 9 SE is finally available on pre-order in Kenya for those who want to be among the first ones to get this phone. The phone will be available for Ksh 39,999 from next month. The pre-order period starts today and those who take part in this will get the Huawei Band 4 Series for free. You can pre-order the phone through Amaya or Huawei branded shops across the country.

The Huawei nova 9 SE comes with a 6.78-inch display with a resolution of 1080 x 2388 pixels. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 processor that has been paired with 8GB of RAM and 128/256GB of internal storage space.

This phone is backed by a 4,000 mAh battery that supports 66W fact charging. For the cameras, it has a quad setup at the back made up of 108MP + 8MP + 2MP + 2MP sensors. For selfies, it has a 16MP front-facing camera.

As it has been the case with Huawei smartphones recently, it does not come with Google services but Huawei has replaced those with its own under the Huawei Mobile services suite. This means that you will not be able to use Gmail, Google Maps apps etc but they can still work if you access them via a browser. Huawei hopes its replacements such as Petal Maps instead of Google Maps will work as alternatives to those not tied down and are not forced to use Google services.

Huawei Mobile Kenya Country Head Jim Zhujie said, “Along the trail blazed by innovation, the HUAWEI nova Series has always been with the youth on every step of the path. Since its inception, the series has always been one that’s tailored for young consumers, offering quality, well-designed smart devices that are equipped with incredible cameras that enable the young users to indulge in their interests and passion. And with every generation of HUAWEI nova smartphones, Huawei reinterprets the youth, technology and design.”
